“Sequel” means the “next development” or “next installment.” We chose the word “Sequel” to signal the fact that we are committed to practicing law in a way that is different from what came before.
What came before? Everyone here at Sequel Tech Law had prior careers at global law firms. We have chosen to move away from that approach.
Sequel Tech Law, instead, provides proven thought leadership in a few core areas of practice—intellectual property, technology, Internet, and business law. We combine our proven legal expertise with the latest developments in alternative billing, research, the implementation of effective technology, and the cost-saving use of affiliate relationships.
Our approach is very business-oriented. Sequel Tech law’s managing partner, Melise Blakeslee, knows how important it is to focus on getting business done. She maintains an active transactional and litigation docket, and is the founder and president of eCrimetools.com an information, investigation, and research provider serving the needs of the legal, corporate and risk management communities.
